Atlas International was established in 1999, the directors and shareholders are actively involved in the day to day running of the group, with the majority of individuals having had significant track records in moving, relocation and logistics.

The company is run and operated by the owners of the Group and as such there is active and real participation from the owners that can only mean dedication of staff towards providing a quality service and all round professionalism

The combined total experience of the owners / directors adds up to almost 75 years within the industry.  Although the age seems relatively young Atlas Group aims to be a major player in this ever-growing sector and through continual dedication and professional work ethics culminating in the timely execution of all contracts received from all our clients.

Atlas International Group is made up of 3 separate divisions, Moving, Relocation and Logistics, which allow us to cater for all of our clients, needs.

The pre-move survey allows one of our management staff to personally meet you to discuss in detail "Your Specific Requirements" We will record the items to be packed and note any special requirements you have; each move we make is

different.

 

 

We need to discuss "Your" individual needs. Here are some basics to remember: -

 

  • What to ship by Sea / Air?

  • What you want to keep in Storage?
  • Your Insurance requirements
  • What needs to be delivered locally, or picked up?
  • Your travel plans: - when, flights details, timings etc
  • Special service needs (split cargo some by air...some by sea)
  • What might you need, add or remove after the survey has been done?

 

 

Our Management and administration staff will provide you with sufficient information about your next destination; immigration and custom requirements, insurance services, packing procedures, timings etc, we will ensure that we are in constant contact with yourself so we can answer any of your specific needs requirements.

The quotation is based primarily on the information that was gathered during the initial survey? A more precise and detailed quotation with details on full budgetary proposals for your move will be delivered to you within a few days.

 

All of our quotations for any type of move will include: -

  • Price per unit (cubic foot, kilogram, or cubic meter)

  • Additional or extra charges for special services
  • Delivery company chosen at your destination

 

When it comes to moving companies, you may like to take the following into account, thereby the decision you make should be based around the following: -

  • Reputation of the Company
  • Reputation of the moving company at your destination
  • The professional way at which the survey was approached
  • The total cost of your move and unit price

 

As in any service-orientated business; there will be differences between price and quality; this rule also applies to the moving industry. You will make a similar comparison when buying a new house, car, or choosing a hotel.

 

In order to ensure your move goes ahead as planned, please complete the Move Order Form, enclosed within your quotation brochure and fax it to us. Please also mail the original signed form separately. On receipt of your fax confirmation, we will make the necessary arrangements with you and confirm packing and moving dates.

 

Documentation

 

Certain important documents must be complete before the international move takes place: -

We request that you complete all documentation, before packing commences to ensure that vessel and air shipment bookings are finalized

 

 

Documentation required before packing-move commences

 

  • Passport copy (inside page, with photo and personal details)
  • Insurance policy application form, goods valuation form
  • Customers Shipping form (supplied by Atlas)
  • Customs Declaration forms (UK, US etc) (if applicable)

 

We will be more than happy to assist in anyway to ensure that the above documents are correlated and completed, please do not hesitate to contact us for help and assistance.

 

Just prior to the packing crew arriving; Please ensure that you keep items you intend to take with you on the plane separate, so they are not packed by mistake.

 

Label (yourself) All items that you will require to be shipped by "Air" or "Sea" or will remain in "Storage"; the crew will handle the necessary packing, it is also advised that one member of the family remains within the home during the packing stage.

  • When the crew arrives, give them a brief tour of the house
  • Show them what items are for storage, air and shipping
  • Show items that need special care, specific packing or crating

 

  • Do not pack, expensive items, such as jewelry, watches, collections etc (These items, will not be covered by insurance, please ensure you take them with you as "hand carry" luggage.

 

  • If boxes have been packed by yourself; please ensure they however, they are sealed, they will be labeled "PBO" (packed by owner) this may lead to issues with both insurance and customs authorities

 

  • A complete packing list will be prepared by the crew supervisor; for each crate/package contents (whether for storage, air or sea). You will be asked to verify and sign it upon completion of the packing stage

 

  • The crew supervisor will provide a post-packing checklist; to ensure nothing has been forgotten, or incorrectly packed

 

  • The crew will commence loading your effects into a sea/air container or wooden crates at your location. Your items will either go to the warehouse for storage, or direct to the port or airport for loading (unless specific instructions have been received)

Atlas International Movers internal shipping department will arrange the air or sea shipment of your goods to the nearest port of entry at your destination that is closest to your new place of residence.

 

Atlas International Movers will only choose reputable carriers to ensure that your shipment reaches your destination as per your schedule; the shipping arrangements we have in place, also includes the following: -

 

  • Sea container / air space booked in advance with the carrier

 

  • Transportation of the container or truck to your place of residence for packing and loading

 

  • Transportation of the shipment direct to the sea port or air carrier for loading

 

  • Containerizing, packing, palletizing of your shipment stored in our warehouse prior to transportation to the airport for loading

 

  • Completion of export customs clearance documentation

 

  • Payment of standard port handling and terminal charges (Malaysia)
  • Complete payment of freight charges to your destination port of entry

 

  • Payment of standard charges for port handling and terminal charges at your destination port of entry (for door-to-door relocation moves only)

 

  • Submission of all documentation relating to your shipment to our destination office

 

We will ensure that our destination delivery office in your destination country is furnished with complete and accurate contact and shipment details of your shipment.

 

Immediately on arrival you should first make contact with our destination office to inform them of your plans and coordinate delivery of your shipment and completion of final documentation for importation of goods.

 

 

Procedures and services at destination point will include: -

 

  • Documentation and Customs Clearance of shipment

 

  • Line-haul of shipment to your place of residence

 

  • Unloading of shipment, total unpacking placement and positioning of furniture’s as per your instructions

 

  • Removal of all debris, incidental to the unpacking

 

  • Container return
